Bose SoundLink Micro 2nd Gen gets a tempting discount in a special color

Looking for powerful Bose sound in a compact package under $100? Amazon's got you covered. Right now, the e-commerce giant sells the SoundLink Micro 2nd Gen in a special limited-edition color for less than $100, saving you 22% on its original price.

If you're a fan of the mint-colored gadgets and want to show off your style with your next speaker (which fits in your palm, by the way), definitely check out this offer.

• By the way, the SoundLink Max is another hot pick right now, offered for 30% off its original price.

As you might have already guessed, the second-generation SoundLink Micro is mostly suited for individual listening sessions and gatherings with a few friends.

But unlike some similarly-sized cheaper models, this device sounds much bigger than it looks. Out of the box, it gives you impressive clarity and powerful audio that gets quite loud on top of everything else. It's no rival to some heavy-duty speakers out there, but you'll definitely like how it sounds.

Another thing I really like about this Bluetooth speaker is the design. Small and compact enough to fit in your palm, it's also equipped with a replaceable fabric strap that lets you easily attach it to your bike, backpack, or belt. What's more, it comes with an IP67 rating, making it more durable against dust and water damage.

If there's anything you may not like about this model, it's probably the battery life. Bose claims you can get it to last up to 12 hours on a single charge, but listening at higher volumes may leave you reaching for the charger sooner than expected.

Still, the model is mostly on par, if not slightly better, than some JBL alternatives. The JBL Go 5, for instance, only gives you up to 10 hours of music, but chances are you won't reach that figure if you pump up the volume to the max.

Given everything it brings to the table, the Bose SoundLink Micro 2nd Gen is indeed one of the better compact Bluetooth speakers. Grab yours now and save 22% at Amazon.
