Windows Phone Store now has 120,000 apps
As the saying usually goes, a platform is only as good as the apps that are available. Or, some may say that where the developers go, so go the users. And, it looks like developers are starting to support Windows Phone more and more as the Windows Phone Store now houses 120,000 apps.

Sure, this may not be much if you compare it to the 700,000 in the iTunes App Store, or the more than 600,000 in the Google Play Store (as of June), but 120,000 is still a solid number, and one that shows the growth of Windows Phone. The last we heard was that the Windows Phone Store had hit the 100,000 app mark, and that was back in June, so adding 20,000 apps in just about 4 months is a pretty good rate.

Microsoft went on to say that in including the new Facebook, Twitter, and Skype apps, 46 of the top 50 apps in the store will be available for Windows Phone 8.
