Vivo X5Pro renders leak showing bezel-less design and no glowing logo
Vivo is a China-based manufacturer, which may not be famous for super-powered flagship handsets, but does stay on track with the competition in terms of design. Last year, the Vivo X5 Max stole the crown for being the thinnest smartphone in the world, as certified by none other but the Guinness World Records.
The manufacturer's upcoming handset is dubbed Vivo X5Pro and rumors state that, while it will not break any records in terms of its thickness, it may just wow us with a 4,150 mAh battery – an impressive juicebox, considering that it will, presumably, not be sticked in a very thick body. It will also be sporting a retina scanner, one-upping the fingerprint sensors that are slowly becoming the norm.
The Vivo X5Pro is expected to sport a 64-bit Snapdragon 615, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage, a 5.5” AMOLED display, a 13 MP main camera and a frontal snapper that will support “32 MP selfies”. It is yet unknown what exactly this teaser is supposed to mean, as it is unlikely that the front sensor will rock a 32 MP resolution. It's more probable that the camera software will have a selfie-panorama mix features allowing for group pictures (no, we will not say groufies or groupies – the latter word is already taken, anyway!).
The Vivo X5Pro is to be unveiled on the 13th of May, but renders of the device have already crept out. It appears that Vivo will be following the trend of “2.5D glass”, covering the phone's front edge to edge, much like how the Oppo R7 and many other upcoming handsets from Asian competitors will look. Also, there is no glowing logo to be seen, so it seems that this feature has been scraped, if it was ever even considered.
