Verizon starts training for Windows Phone 8 in advance of early November launch
Someone with a friend at Verizon (everyone could use a friend at Verizon) obtained a picture of the HTC Windows Phone 8X running on the Verizon network. This seems to refute the recent rumor that Verizon was having such a serious problem with the OS that it was thinking about scrapping the sale of Windows Phone 8 models. HTC has a "Save the date" promotion going on with November 6th as the date which could point to a launch date for the Taiwan handset manufacturer. This dovetails with the expected November 4th release of the Windows Phone 8 powered Nokia Lumia 920 on AT&T.

The word from the Verizon source is that the carrier has started training its staff on Microsoft's updated mobile OS. The nation's largest carrier is rumored to not only offer the HTC Windows Phone 8X, but also the Nokia Lumia 822 which some speculate is a Verizon specific version of the Nokia Lumia 820.

Microsoft is going to hold one of three media events on October 29th. The Redmond based firm is expected to offically introduce Windows Phone 8 on that date. With Verizon possibly launching the HTC Windows Phone 8 as soon as the next week, those staff members getting indoctrinated in Windows Phone 8 better start cracking the books.
