Verizon rolls out major update for Samsung Gear S3 classic and frontier

After T-Mobile, Verizon is the next major US carrier that releases an important update for Samsung Gear S3 classic and frontier. The list of changes is similar for both smartwatches, so no matter which one you own, you'll get the same improvements.

Among the new features added in the update, the option to share watch faces is perhaps the most important. Still, equally important is the option to create contacts and calendar events with designated fields like title, date and time, reminder, and location.

Also, the update adds another function that allows users to create alarms and reminders on their smartphones, and receive them on their Gear S3 smartwatches.

Furthermore, Samsung Gear S3 now features the option to manage fitness goals with continuous heart rate and smart alerts. Finally, location requests from the Gear S3 now feature additional information for even more accurate tracking.

The update is delivered OTA via Wi-Fi and mobile network, but make sure your smartwatch's battery is fully charged before attempting to update.
