Unlocked version of the HTC Desire gets delayed yet again
Although some European customers are literally on the brink of witnessing the HTC Desire's arrival, those who prefer buying the unlocked version of the Android device from UK online retailer Clove will have to wait some more. Eager consumers will undoubtedly be saddened with news that the retailer just announced that shipments of the unlocked version of the venerable smartphone are being delayed until next week. Sure it's only a week, but we're sure it'll prove to be grueling for those consumers who are itching already to get their hands on the device – it's apparently affecting other online retailers who are selling the unlocked device as well. Previously it was speculated that a new ROM update caused the first delay to be announced, but now it could point to the fact that HTC is probably holding back shipments until levels are satisfactory – ensuring that there will be plenty of handsets to go around. Despite being primarily marketed in Europe, we're sure that the term unlocked will appeal to some consumers all around the world.
