The Puma Phone gets captured on camera
First announced back in October 2009, the Puma Phone is set to be officially unveiled next week – while a photo of the handset has been leaked in the mean time. The picture in question displays the rear of the phone as opposed to a traditional front shot of the handset. At first you're probably thinking why someone would do that, but the reason may be because the back of the phone showcases a unique feature that isn't found on many phones. For starters, the Puma Phone looks to have a touchscreen phone based on its form factor – it'll also feature GPS, video chat, a pedometer, bike/running tracking applications, a sports news app, “music turntable”, and a solar panel on the back. Not stopping just yet at the hardware and software side, the phone will provide access to Puma World that includes a variety of popular sports related news, apps, and games. No word yet on the cost of it, but there is a teaser web site up and running. Maybe this will become a handset that will encourage owners to be more physically active thanks to its wide range of fitness related features.
