T-Mobile clarifies stance on Android 10 update for Galaxy S10 and Note 10

It's been almost a week since we reported that Android 10 updates for T-Mobile's Galaxy S10 and Note 10 are closer than we might think. Unfortunately, the US carrier has refreshed the support pages and added new information about the upcoming Android 10 updates for Samsung's flagships.

Although T-Mobile claimed last week it was already testing Android 10 for Galaxy S10 and Note 10 series, the Un-carrier now says that the update is in “development.” This means that the update has been pushed back by at least a few months, a rather disappointing turn of events for Samsung fans.

Development is the first stage of preparing a major Android OS update before it goes live, and almost always it takes many months until the update reaches “testing” status. Even though we hope T-Mobile will work fast on this one, we doubt Android 10 for Galaxy S10 and Note 10 will be released by the end of the year.

Currently, Android 10 is available for Google's Pixel phones and, surprisingly, the Essential Phone. OnePlus is trying to deliver the update to some of its flagship killers as well, but it's not quite there yet.
