Sunrise Gold Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ coming to the US after all

Samsung unveiled two new colors for the Galaxy S9 and S9+ but said they will only be available in select markets. The Burgundy Red and Sunrise Gold versions of the Galaxy S9 and S9+ aren't supposed to be launched in the United States, at least that's what we thought after Samsung's announcement.

The handset maker confirmed the Burgundy Red Galaxy S9 and S9+ will be available in China and South Korea starting this month, while the Sunrise Gold is expected to arrive in June in select markets across Europe, Australia, and Asia. Specifically, the Sunrise Gold version will be launched in Australia, Chine, Germany, Hong Kong, Korea, Mexico, Russia, Spain, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates and Vietnam.

However, according to Evan Blass, Samsung plans to launch the Sunrise Gold Galaxy S9 and S9+ smartphones in the United States as well. He also has the pictures to prove it (you can see them above).

The Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+ logo that appears on the back of the phones confirms these are the US versions of the Sunrise Gold models. We have yet to learn when the Sunrise Gold Galaxy S9 and S9+ will be made available in the US, but they could be launched as early as June.
