Sony Ericsson Aino and Satio to get UK launch October 7th?
Two high-end handsets from Sony Ericsson appear to be the subject of a press event set for October 7th. The joint venture has sent out invitations to the British press to "Come celebrate the retail launch of Sony Ericsson's hotly anticipated Satio and Aino handsets." The latter has a 3 inch touchscreen with resolution of 240 x 320 pixels, can connect to the PS3 video game, and offers an 8.1 MP camera with LED flash and 16x digital zoom. The device recently made it through the FCC as we reported, carrying the same radio band that would make it a contender for AT&T/Rogers.
The Satio is equipped with a 12.1MP camera with AF, xenon flash and 12x digital zoom. It sports a 3.5 inch display with 640 x 360 pixels, running on Symbian S60 5th edition. Pricing for both is unknown, but we should know more on October 7th.
