Skype for iOS receives update including a holiday message to send your friends and family
Skype for iOS has received a holiday update that includes a personalized message that can be sent to friends and family. This is something that the Microsoft-owned messaging app does every year. Another new feature removes notifications once the Skype app is launched. In the past, you would have to remove the notifications manually whenever you opened the app.

To update Skype for iOS, or to download and install the app for the first time, click on the sourcelink. The new version of Skype for iOS is 6.30, and there is a version of Skype for Apple Watch which allows you to see your notifications and chats on your wrist.

The changelist for the update includes:

  • Spread a little extra holiday cheer! Share a personalized holiday video message with your loved ones. Tap on the snowflake button next to the Skype logo to get started.
  • Notifications are now removed from the Notification Center when the Skype app is launched – decluttering is a good thing.
  • Have you ever accidentally closed the app during a group call and were unable to join? Now you can easily rejoin group calls.
