Seidio Surface Samsung Galaxy S4 case hands-on
Not too long ago, we scoped out the Seidio Active case for the Samsung Galaxy S4, but as a whole, we weren’t entirely blown away by the offering – mainly due to the bland design of the case. Interestingly enough, the Seidio Surface case for the Galaxy S4 seems to remedy most of the concerns with had with the Active case. Between the two, they share a very common protective element, and an always useful kickstand to prop up the handset for a hands-free video watching experience, but yet, there's one advantage to the Surface case.

Quickly taking a peek at the Seidio Surface case, we have to admit we’re a bit more attracted to it over the Seidio Active case. For starters, its metallic blue finish does a good job of catching some eyes from afar with its shiny looks. Donning a soft touch matte surface, it’s wonderful to see that it maintains a very clean appearance, even when greasy fingers try to dirty it. Sure, the case adds a little bit of bulk to the smartphone, but it’s warranted to provide us with peace of mind if it were drop. In fact, the case is raised so that the display doesn’t come into contact with a surface when it’s laid flat – and the same thing is seen with the camera cutout

By itself, the Seidio Surface case retails for $34.95, which is rather pricey compared to other similar cases that have a strong protective nature to them, but some will no doubt find solace in the fact that it has stylish element to its design – plus, that useful kickstand in the rear. Additionally, you can pick up a combo version that comes included with a belt holster for $49.95.
