Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 to be launched earlier than expected

Samsung announced earlier this month that the Galaxy Watch Active 2 will be available for pre-order on September 6 and that the smartwatch will hit shelves on September 27, at least in the United States.

However, the South Korean company might release the wearable device much earlier than it originally announced. Samsung announced yesterday (via SamMobile) that the Galaxy Watch Active 2 smartwatch will be out on September 6 in South Korea, with the smartwatch going on pre-order on August 30.

Apart from the fact that it the information only applies to South Korea for the time being, it appears that only the Bluetooth models will be released on September 6, so if you're hoping to get the LTE variant, you'll have to wait a while longer.

As far as pricing goes, the smaller 40mm model will be available for as low as $245, while the larger 44mm variant costs $280. The stainless steel versions will be more expensive, as Samsung sells them for $330 and $365, depending on the size.

It's unclear whether or not the Galaxy Watch Active 2 will be launched earlier in other countries as well, but we know for sure that it's not yet available for pre-order in the United States.
