Previously leaked bordlerless Meizu phone could be the Pro 7
Earlier this month, we showed you the image of a borderless Meizu handset. Similar to the Xiaomi Mi MIX, this model has a high screen-to-body ratio, even higher than the 84.16% figure seen with Xiaomi's popular full screen handset. The Meizu phone appears to have its screen covering close to 100% of the body, with Qualcomm's ultrasonic fingerprint sensor embedded under the screen.

According to some fresh images spotted on weibo Saturday, it appears that the borderless Meizu phone is the Meizu Pro 7. A series of slides for the phone reveal two separate variants. The model with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage shows a price that is equivalent to $396 USD. The version with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage carries a price equivalent to $454 USD.

The Meizu Pro 7 is expected to feature a 5.62-inch Super AMOLED screen with an unusual 1080 x 2160 resolution, and close to a 100% screen-to-body ratio. The full body screen is said to account for the odd resolution and a possible aspect ratio of 2:1. The phone is only 6.5mm thin, and the mCharge 4.0 rapid recharge system takes a battery from 0% to 100% in just 40-minutes. Lastly, the images show that there is an 8MP front-facing camera.

Check out all of the images by clicking on the slideshow below. The phone is expected to be unveiled on December 24th.

We definitely suggest taking this story with the proverbial grain of salt.

The future of phone design is upon us. Can't wait to see how they'll pull this off! Hopefully no shortcomings were made to achieve this look. Meanwhile, I'm waiting on mi mix prices to come down. So all good!

It's nice to see advancements like this but yet again battery tech is still stuck in the same place it has been for years.

Guessing SD820/1? The makings of a new category, $400-$500 flagship killers.

0-100% in 40 minutes? I hope it's because their new charging tech, not because of small battery :-/ pricing, design, and that new FPscanner tech is great :D (hopefully they didnt ruin it with mediatek processor... just give it SD652/653,,, or Helio X30 if they really stuck with mediatek.... exynos 8890 will be instant buy :D)

Some believe it will use the new Kirin SoC...that would make this such a win. I would import this in a heartbeat.

I am very happy because Apple and Samsung will feel pressure to reduce bezel. especially the bezel king Apple.
