Pre-order the new high-end LG Watch Urbane from Expansys

Pre-order the new high-end LG Watch Urbane from Expansys
Just the other day, we told you that LG would be unveiling its new all metal high-end smartwatch at MWC. Thinner and sleeker than the LG G Watch R, and with a narrower bezel, the LG Watch Urbane will be available with a gold and silver finish. And while LG's press release failed to include pricing of the timepiece and its availability, online retailer Expansys is now taking pre-orders for the Android Wear powered smartwatch.

Expansys will reserve you a gold or silver LG Watch Urbane for the equivalent of $410.50 USD. That would make the timepiece the most expensive Android Wear flavored watch in the market. Keep in mind that this is not the official price of the device. In a bid to attract attention, Expansys will some times accept pre-orders for devices that have yet to be unveiled, at a price higher than the expected official price.

Those pre-ordering the watch will be contacted when it is available and can confirm the purchase. Like the LG G Watch R, the P-OLED display is 1.3-inches with a 320 x 320 resolution and a 245ppi pixel density. The LG Watch Urbane comes with a stitched leather band that can be replaced by any 22mm wide strap.

If you want to be among the first to pre-order a smartwatch that has yet to be unveiled, click on the sourcelink below.

Its not painted. Its stainless steel. Besides there is two versions of this watch. The silver and the gold versions of this LG watch. Not to mention the other 6 different Android Wear devices. (Moto 360, LG G Watch, Gear Live, Asus Zen, LG G Watch R, Sony SmartWatch 3). All of which are different looking from the others, with some having different specs.

But but weren't you and your iBuddies the same people who mocked Samsung for going with squarish smartwatch? And if you believe this is only a painted G watch, then i advice you to get your eyes checked.

No, most just said it was terrible, because it was cheap looking, the software looked like iPod nano(2010), it had a pimple, it just looked rushed with no R&D. IT was the watch that put a bad taste in everyone's mouth about smart watches. I don't even thing anybody had seen a round digital smartwatches at that point.

The only watch that seems to be rushed to market is the Apples Watch. They are still making the S1 processors for the Apple Watches. They announced their watch back in September 2014, and it won't arrive until 8 months later (April 2015). So this means there is now 3 different looking round Android Wear designed smart watches now (Moto 360, LG G Watch R, LG Urbane). And Samsung is going to announce a round smart watch at MWC this March.

For now moto 360 owns the android wear. Looks amazing and has great features. That G crap looks hideous and very soon Moto will be announcing the 2nd gen 360.

All 50,000 owners agree with you.

Geez Phonearena, Expansys isn't trustworthy. I don't know why popular phone blogs keep representing or suggesting them.

Cause at least in Europe its considered one of the biggest online stores for phones etc? They ship and support all European Union countries and much more.

This seems to much like the GWR They should at least upgrade to SOC to the more efficient 410 (though Qualcomm really should make dedicated smartwatch SOCs, instead of using a phone SOC with 3 cores disabled)

9. RebelwithoutaClue unregistered

Where have you read they disabled 3 of the cores?

No official word on that But most people think its that since any more would be wasteful

For comparison the Moto 360 has a OMAP3630-1000 from 2011 (45nm single A8 core) The a 28nm single A7 core from the 400 should be about equal and more efficient

If you cared to look at the Qualcomm processors for Android Wear devices, then you would know that it is a custom version of the SD 400 that is only used for smart watches.

too much. I have a gear live and 360 for which I spent too much for, but I would highly recommend both of those if you could buy them used cheap. Anything over 200 is really too much for current day smart watches. They are cool, but really not necessary at all, at least not yet. It would be like if you bought a smart phone pre-Iphone 3 and you werent some fancy business person who required constant access to email and other things. Just wait until the market really develops and then get a badass smartwatch that really does some things that you never realized that you needed.

Has anyone on here bought anything from Expansys? What was your experience like? I am thinking about buying an Xperia Z2 or some other flagship that is a little older from that site based on the great price. Please let me know. Thanks in advance.

A few years ago I ordered a Windows mobile phone for about 600€ VAT excluded, cause I gave them my EU-VAT Nr. Next day I had it on my office desk. Delivered form France to Greece in less then 24h.

Good luck selling 100,000 in 6 months. That's certainly an accomplishment for LG.
