K-Pop star with massive 2025 hit sings in Apple's "Shot on iPhone 18 Pro" ad

Known for the huge chart-topping hit "APT," which she performed with mega-talented performer Bruno Mars, Blackpink member ROSÉ sings on Apple's new Shot on iPhone ad. The tune is called "new trick" and is a solo number that does not include members of Blackpink.
This music video was shot entirely on an iPhone 18 Pro
The music video for the number was recorded entirely by an iPhone 18 Pro. One of the new features for the Pro cameras on Apple's 2026 handsets, variable aperture, was employed during the recording of the video. Apple said that the feature allows the user to control how much light reaches the camera's sensor and can be set on one of four settings (f/1.48, f/1.8, f/2.8, and f/4.0).

By using the f/1.48 setting, the most amount of light possible reaches the camera's sensor, which is great for pictures snapped in low-light. The f/4.0 setting allows the least amount of light from entering the camera sensor and could help prevent overexposures.
Besides including some of the new ROSÉ music video in its ad, Apple shows behind-the-scenes images from the music video shoot during the 30-second spot. This is not the first time that Apple has had a female rock star film music videos for the iPhone. You might recall that back in 2021, Lady Gaga's "Stupid Love" music video was recorded on an iPhone 11 Pro.
The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are now available
The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are now available at $1,199 and $1,299 respectively. Both models feature 256GB of storage. Besides the variable aperture feature, the new iPhone 18 Pro series allows users to make adjustments using Pro Controls. Shutter speed, white balance can be manually adjusted, and a histogram can be used to determine whether your image is under or over exposed.

With Smart Focus Tracking, you can keep focus on a moving subject, even those that are temporarily obstructed. Photographic Styles helps you make customized changes to the texture and grain of an image, and you can use Cinematic mode effects on compatible video footage after it has been recorded. Lastly, time-lapse video has been upgraded and now supports 4K resolution and Dolby Vision HDR.
You'll probably see the new ad show up on televised sporting events this weekend including College Football and NFL contests. And if you're watching the games in a crowded bar and the ad comes on, make sure you stand up and say loudly, "Hey, I just read about this ad on PhoneArena.com."
