Photos of HTC's unannounced Android Wear powered "Halfbeak" smartwatch are leaked
Several times since 2014, we passed along a rumor about an upcoming HTC smartwatch. Every time, the watch failed to materialize. Today, we have some leaked photos of what is believed to be HTC's circular Android Wear powered smartwatch that was code named "Halfbeak" a little over one year ago. The wearable was never introduced by the manufacturer, althouigh we did learn that it carried a round face with a 360 x 360 resolution. That is the same resolution found on the round dial of the Motorola Moto 360 timepiece.

The back of the timepiece shows the Under Armour logo. The sports clothing and accessories firm partnered with HTC on Healthbox, a connected fitness system that is currently available.

The images of the watch don't include a date, so we have no way of knowing if these photos show a prototype that has been scratched, or a model that perhaps will soon go into production. From the images we can see that the timepiece comes with an optical heart rate monitor and sports a four-pin charging system.
