We live in world that is getting ever more connected and our social interaction is rapidly becoming more and more Internet dependant on services like Facebook. The Beta version of  Nokia Social Messaging that got officially announced earlier today aims at making your cell phone-based socializing much easier. It adds a home screen widget that allows fast opening of the social service section you are interested in and yu are able to comment right away. Moreover, you will have the option to share your gallery pictures and current location through Ovi Maps. The latter is possible through the latest functionality updates made to the famous Nokia navigational app which also make integration of Ovi Maps functions into third-party apps much easier.

Well, the extra features are only available to Nokia N97 and 6700 classic owners at this time, but the development team promises wider handset and social networks support and improved scope of functions are to follow soon.
