Nokia Lumia models get updated accessories app

Nokia has updated the accessories app for its Lumia line that adds a number of new features. The app is used to connect the Windows Phone flavored models to compatible devices and the update takes it to version 2.5.3.1. While the size of the update seems comparatively puny at 2MB, it does offer some useful new features for Nokia Lumia owners.

The update allows a Nokia Lumia handset to connect with the Car-Holder CR-200. This accessory is a cradle that your phone fits into while you are in your car, and provides NFC support, wireless charging and links to certain Nokia apps. The update also lets you view additional battery status information on a Live Tile, and allows you to rename Bluetooth accessories while showing off a fresh new design. The app also provides a quick link to Nokia's website if you need help and an option to reset any Nokia accessory to its original factory setting.
