Nokia 9 PureView receives important camera improvements in latest update

It's a pity that US carriers didn't pick any of HMD Mobile's top-tier phones yet, but the competition at that level is quite fierce. Besides Apple and Samsung, there are few companies that manage to find success in the US with their flagship smartphones.

Even though the Nokia 9 PureView isn't offered by any US carriers at the moment, anyone can buy one from many of the retailers in the country for as low as $650. If you already own one, then you'll be happy to know that HMD is now pushing out a new update that will consistently the camera's performance.

As per NPU's report, the new changes come with the July security patch, which also includes a brand new Live Bokeh mode. Thanks to this new feature, Nokia 9 PureView owners will be able to adjust the focus before and after taking a photo.

The next important change included in the update is faster image processing, which means that you'll be able to take photos faster than before. It's one of those features that you don't know how good it is until you have it.

Last but not least, the update brings improvements to the fingerprint sensor to make it faster. The new update weighs in at 280MB and is currently going live in many European countries, but it's likely to jump the pond pretty soon as well.
