Nexus 4, 10 have now arrived on Google Play Store: best value for the money
The Nexus 4, the $299 Android flagship that promised to change phone pricing from the ground up, has now finally arrived and it is up for sale on the Google Play Store across the globe. Nexus 10, the 10-inch tablet with the highest resolution on the market is also up for grabs.

You can now order the devices in the Devices section of the Play Store in the U.K., Australia, France, Germany, Spain and Canada. In the United States the page hasn't gone live yet, but we expect it to in the next couple of hours.

You can pick between the Nexus 4 8GB and 16GB versions, and here are the prices in different markets:

  • UK £239 for 8GB Nexus 4 / £279 for 16GB Nexus 4
  • UK £319 for 16GB Nexus 10 / £389 for 32GB Nexus 10

  • Australia $349 for 8GB Nexus 4 / $399 for 16GB Nexus 4
  • Australia $469 for 16GB Nexus 10 / $569 for 32GB Nexus 10

  • Europe 299 euro for 8GB Nexus 4 / 349 euro for 16GB Nexus 4
  • Europe 399 euro for 16GB Nexus 10 / 449 euro for 32GB Nexus 10

The Nexus 7 with cellular data connectivity is now also up for grabs.

Google is also selling a bumper case for the Nexus 4 that should hopefully protect its glass from shattering when the phone falls on its side. It does not cover the back however, but rather encircles the phone's sides.

Definitely the Optimus g :) Better design, solid build etc But if you think that software updates (after jellybean) is important , then I have nothing to say but to let you pick nexus 4 :)

Optimus G has a 13mp camera sensor, and not to mention the support for more video codecs like DivX But the price of the nexus, yep, thats the decider

Video codecs are app easy fix and AT&T Optimus G only has 8MP camera. I left out all the same specs they shared like CPU & Ram Gorilla Glass2 Front & Back 4.7in LCD Screen 1.3MP Front & 8MP Rear WiFi Direct, NFC, MHL Battery 16GB Internal Storage

app fix for running videos, but you wont get hardware decoding for certain formats, you will have to do soft decoding, which takes more battery

For me, it's price and Google updates without bloatware. LG has stepped it up on both fronts though.

Wait, that can't be €400 for 8GB Nexus 10, can it? 8GB?

Definitely not :) I've corrected that - it is 400 euro for the 16 gig one. Thanks for the catch!

I am looking to pair it to the Walmart/Tmobile $30 a month plan (100 minutes and 5GB of 4G data). I have to wait a few months until my balance drops on my Moto Triumph with Virgin so I can run both devices in parallel.
