New software update brings an "enhanced version" of Peel for Android
For those of you happily using one of the best TV watching companion apps out there, Peel, you’ll be intrigued to know that a new software update has been recently introduced for Android devices – bringing some cool new features along for the ride.

In what they mention as being an “enhanced version” of its Android app, version 2.0.3 provides users with an extended amount of social networking functionality that brings discovery to a whole new level for the platform. Specifically, those who regularly use the app will now have the ability to find and follow friends, view what shows their friends are watching, sharing your favorites/guilty pleasures, and get recommendations on what to watch.

If you’re not familiar with Peel, the app has been featured on many Android tablets of late that we’ve reviewed – like the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) most recently. Well, it’s there because it packs a useful IR blaster, which in turn, transforms it into a universal remote control for your television and other home theater gadgets.

Above all, Peel’s interface is pretty slick and comprehensive, which goes to show that they’ve invested a lot of time and love building out its functionality. So if you haven’t done so already, head on over to the Google Play Store and grab that software update, so you can go back to doing what you do best.
