New Google app with Material Design update starts rolling out
Apart from releasing Android 5.0 Lollipop updates for Nexus devices, Google today also provided details on an updated Google app (for Android, of course).

The refreshed search app includes the Lollipop-flavored Material Design, coming with streamlined layouts, colors that pop up, and fluid animations (the changes will be first noticed on new devices running Lollipop). Google will now be able to discover “potential plans buried in your Gmail,” and create new Google Now cards to remind you of them.

Another novelty: you’ll be able to use the “OK Google” command to search for things within certain apps, like Tumblr, YouTube, TripAdvisor, or TuneIn. As a bonus, Google will now let you flip a (virtual) coin just by saying “OK Google, flip a coin.”

Owners of the Nexus 6, Nexus 9 and Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will be spoiled: the updated app lets them use “OK Google” when the screen is off and their device is unplugged.

Did anyone notice these changes to the Google app yet?
