New 42mm Apple Watch orders see shipping dates pushed back to July
Just a few hours after the Apple Watch became available for pre-order, estimated shipping dates for most models were pushed back until June, much to the dismay of potential customers. Although multiple reports suggest that Apple will increase production to meet demand, it looks like shipping dates for some Apple Watch models are now being pushed back until July.

If you're looking to purchase a 42mm version of either the Apple Watch Sport or the stainless steel Apple Watch, then you should know that US shipping dates have slipped until July. The same rough estimation is being given to customers from other countries, such as China, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan and the UK. It looks like the slightly smaller 38mm versions are still estimated to ship in June. Recent reports suggest that problems with the taptic engine are the reason behind the severely-limited Apple Watch availability.

If you're feeling disappointed that shipping dates for new 42mm Apple Watch orders have slipped even further, this may be the perfect opportunity to check out our list of the five best Apple Watch competitors, although you should be warned that most of these competitors only work with Android smartphones. If you'd rather release some negative energy, make sure to check out this video of the Apple Watch being blasted with a rifle.

"Although multiple reports suggest that Apple will increase production to meet demand, it looks like shipping dates for some Apple Watch models are now being pushed back until July." Uhh, NO. Apple cut production by more than half. Then they had quality control issues, which cut their production even more.

Your statement is full of lies. Apple doubled the production of thr Sport and have no hardware defects except problems in haptics.

No, they cut it in half. Hardware defects like the haptic engine are making supply issues worse.

They cut it in half, then reduced it some more just before the release date.

Apple deffinitelly wants to ramp up production bacause of huge demand, nobody else knows what is happining with it right now. From an point of view of an iHater whatever Apple increases or decreases or preserves the production it's bad.

So what? Obviously they WILL increase production, doesn't matter that they had to cut it in the past. They're already outselling every other smart watch out there.

What is this? You give people alternatives to watches that don't even work with the IPhone? What was the point? Why the heck even mention them? You ain't fooling nobody you android fanboy!

There's no point in mentioning alternatives since the only other major smartwatch compatible with iOS is the pebble watches.

False. Any smartwatch that allows Bluetooth Cannelton can work with some of the features of any snartwatch. There are plenty of videos showing the Gear S working with an iPhone. Not all features work but some do.

Yeah but it's not Android Wear.

I think smart watches need a digital crown or some way to scroll quickly , using android wear is like using a mouse without a scroll wheel ouch, it's painful experience no wonder it's not popular.

For Watch, yeah, cuz the UI is tiny and complex. You clearly are lying cuz about trying Wear as the UI is massive and extremely simple and fast. Even the review sites who Apple force to write up amazing reviews say, "prefer Android Wear UI".

I though that for a typical iHater (an android user) a complex UI with many functions and possibilities and choice is a big plus....

Since when was complex UI a plus? Android isn't complex in any way, it's identical to iOS, but with the ability to have a place where you can customize where your apps go. Watch is super complex cuz everything is tiny, the UI is on like a ball for some reason instead of a simple left right up down setup which Apple usually has, and makes it way easier when walking about or when your hand isn't quite stable. I don't hate Apple. I dislike Watch cuz it is just awful in all aspects when compared to the competition. Have you purchased your Watch yet Iodine?

This watch looks even more ridiculous every time I see it. Why would anyone wear this? The Gear series looks funky and sone of the models very big, but it works for certain styles like maybe Hongers or skaters and techies. This works for no one. It's ugly. Wearing this on your wrist is like wearing a tablet on your head as hat. It doesn't work with casual dressers or business attire dressers.

Because people have their own minds and know what they want to buy and nobody gives a sh%t about an iHater commenting about how much he hates Apple on a website that is one in a million websites currently existing on the internet. Any questions?

lol It's not ihating. My comment was more fashion related than technology related. This thing has very little style and the little style it does have is feminine as hell. Here is a question. Are you an isheep?

Sounds like you're just complaining about smart watches in general, nothing you said is unique to the Apple watch. It's pretty clear you don't know anything about fashion (lol at the "feminine" comment below), don't pretend.

Actually no, some of the Android wear watches are on par with Fossil and sone fashion brands at the very least. I know a lot about fashion. I am a watch collector and I spend too much on my clothes and so does my gf. But hey, if you ifans want to insist that this watch doesn't look like complete girly s**t, by all means. It's disgusting looking and I would never wear it like I would never wear clown shoes. Other smart watches are way less offensive. Sorry to break it to yYou isheep.
