New 42mm Apple Watch orders see shipping dates pushed back to July
Just a few hours after the Apple Watch became available for pre-order, estimated shipping dates for most models were pushed back until June, much to the dismay of potential customers. Although multiple reports suggest that Apple will increase production to meet demand, it looks like shipping dates for some Apple Watch models are now being pushed back until July.

If you're looking to purchase a 42mm version of either the Apple Watch Sport or the stainless steel Apple Watch, then you should know that US shipping dates have slipped until July. The same rough estimation is being given to customers from other countries, such as China, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan and the UK. It looks like the slightly smaller 38mm versions are still estimated to ship in June. Recent reports suggest that problems with the taptic engine are the reason behind the severely-limited Apple Watch availability.

If you're feeling disappointed that shipping dates for new 42mm Apple Watch orders have slipped even further, this may be the perfect opportunity to check out our list of the five best Apple Watch competitors, although you should be warned that most of these competitors only work with Android smartphones.
