Mophie Juice Pack Air introduced for the Apple iPhone 5; case doubles the phone's battery life
Even though the Apple iPhone 5 has a non-removable battery, you can double the battery life on the device using the Mophie Juice Box Air, which has just been introduced for the model. Unlike the 1500mAh battery inside its previously introduced Mophie Juice Box Helium, the new Juice Box Air is embedded with a 1700mAh cell which effectively doubles the life of your Apple iPhone 5 battery. According to Mophie, that provides you with an additional 8 hours of LTE time. The Helium only charges an iPhone 5 battery to 80% giving you just 6 extra hours of LTE use.

Both the Air and Helium are slim, but the Air is bigger and heavier. The tale of the tape has the Air at 2.60 in x 5.54 in x 0.63 in and 2.68 oz, while the Helium is 2.49 in x 5.49 in x 0.59 in and 2.44 oz. The Mophie Juice Box Air is $99.95 and will be available in black, red or white. The black case ships in 7 to 10 days while the other two will ship on March 22nd.

$100 just to give your iPhone more juice and make it bulkier and more cumbersome to boot. funny thing is it still doesn't reach the capacity of the Droid Razr MAXX HD and projected battery life doesn't put it anywhere near what the MAXX HD actually gets in practice. ;) it's worth getting on a good enough sale if you have an iPhone 5 but it's still a darn shame...

so what? if you want comparison, Nokia asha can put your beloved Razr MAXX battery into shame.
