The original LG Cookie was one of the first budget touchscreen phones available. It foreshadowed the trend that touchscreens will penetrate the mid- and low-end market segments to become the most popular way of interaction with the cell phone. We recently got a chance to play with the second device in the series, the updated Cookie Plus GS500, which added 3G, 3.5mm jack and the Live Square feature of the interface.
Now, the manufacturer officially introduces the third phone in the series, the LG Cookie Fresh GS290, which should be more affordable, having a weaker 2MP camera, but still keeping the 3.5mm jack and Live Square. The LG Cookie Fresh will try to make up for the poor camera by being offered in a total of 10 (ten!) different color variants so you can choose the one that suits your taste the most.
Both the LG Cookie Fresh GS290 and Cookie Plus GS500 will become available for purchase this month in Europe, Asia and Latin America.
