LG Aristo 2 for MetroPCS appears in unboxing video ahead of unveiling

LG Aristo 2 is the next budget-friendly smartphone that will hit US carriers in the coming weeks. A picture showing the handset's sales package was published less than a week ago, so we know a little bit about the device that should be launched by T-Mobile.

Recently, a full unboxing video showing the LG Aristo 2 from all angles appeared on YouTube. Even though it's certainly an entry-level smartphone, the Aristo 2 features a stylish look thanks to the premium finish.

Apparently, the smartphone will go on sale at MetroPCS as well, though we still don't have any information about its price. However, if the Aristo 2 won't cost more than the previous models, then we're looking at a less than $150 retail price.

Specs-wise, nothing is changed from our previous report, as LG Aristo 2 will be equipped with a 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, 2GB RAM, and 16GB expandable storage.

The smartphone will ship with Android Nougat on board and will feature a standard 5-inch display with HD (720p) resolution, along with a 2,410 mAh removable battery.

The good news is we've also learned the Aristo 2 will feature s 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and a secondary 5-megapixel camera in the front. Finally, a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor is included as well, along with 4G LTE support.

UPDATE: It appears that the button on the back is not a fingerprint sensor, but a power button. Sorry for the confusion

This is a lot better than an iPhone 5 which isn't receiving anymore updates. This LG Aristo 2 smartphone is a quad core 64 bit 1.4 GHz SoC that has a 5" HD display. The iPhone 5 has only a dual core 1.3 GHz 32 bit SoC that has a lower resolution 4" non HD display. This LG Aristo 2 has 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. The iPhone 5 came with 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage at it's lowest price. Plus the iPhone 5 was only cat 3 LTE. This LG Aristo 2 has cat 11 LTE. BTW if last year's LG Aristotle went for $59, and had a finger print scanner. So why wouldn't they have similar or slightly higher pricing and a finger print scanner in the new 2nd version?

It is just a power button, not a fingerprint reader. Please get your facts right before writing about something. Not Varieties Teck I mean for whoever wrote this
