Huawei MediaPad C5 could be on its way with 8-inch display, Snapdragon 435
The Huawei MediaPad M5 line has only just been released in the US, but according to Dutch website MobielKopen, it appears Huawei is already preparing a new budget alternative that will be sold alongside its other tablets.

The device in question, dubbed the MediaPad C5, currently goes by the codename Monet, and it appears there are two variants in the works, one of which will be a Wi-Fi-only model, while the other will offer LTE support. Regardless of which model is purchased, though, both look set to sport an 8-inch display complete with a 1200 x 1920p resolution that will be coupled with the Snapdragon 435 processor and backed up Android 7.0 Nougat. However, considering Huawei isn’t expected to announce the tablet for at least a few months, an update to Android 8.0 Oreo ahead of the release is likely.

Aside from these few details, not much is known about the upcoming tablet, but considering the MediaPad C5 will likely act as a replacement for last year’s MediaPad M5 Lite 8, the choice of either 3GB or 4GB is to be expected. Additionally, this will likely be coupled with either 64GB or 128GB of storage.

Presently, it’s unclear when Huawei will choose to announce the tablet, but considering the company usually has some kind of presence at the annual IFA event, the 2018 edition may prove to be the stage the Chinese company chooses to reveal its latest tablet offering.
