How to find the IMEI number of your Android, iOS, or Windows smartphone
Every once in a while, smartphone users find themselves searching for their devices' IMEI number. Be it trying to send a unit via courier, taking the handset to the service, filling out warranty papers, or recognizing a stolen phone by its number, this sequence of digits will inevitably rear its head sometime. And if you happen to be the type of user who doesn't obsess over technology, the question of "how do I find this IMEI number thing" may pose a challenge.

Thankfully, this is also one of the easiest obstacles you'll encounter in your lifetime. We'll show you six ways of finding your IMEI number, with three of them generally applying to all devices, and three being operating system-specific (although similar to one another) — Android, iOS, and Windows Phone.
