HTC Windows Phone 8X hits Verizon unlocked; device will work on T-Mobile
8
The version of the HTC Windows Phone 8X currently offered online and in the stores by Verizon comes unlocked. Insert a T-Mobile micro-SIM card and the handset will work on the "modernized" 1900MHz spectrum belonging to T-Mobile. The device connects to T-Mobile's HSPA+ network providing the user with 3G speeds.  Since both carriers offer the phone, you might not think there would be any reason to buy the phone from Verizon if you are a T-Mobile customer, but the Verizon edition of the HTC Windows Phone 8X comes with wireless charging.

Will Verizon close this loophole? It is unknown at this point. Assuming that this window gets shut at some point, and wireless charging is something that you have been wanting, you might want to take advantage of this opening. Just make sure that you are near some of that T-Mobile re-farmed 1900MHz spectrum.
