HTC Camera app update brings Crop-Me-In feature to HTC One (M8)
Included out of the box with the HTC Desire EYE, Eye Experience offers a number of cool features for the phone's cameras including Face-Fusion, Screen Share, Split Capture and Auto Selfie to name a few. In a rush to get the Eye Experience update pushed out to HTC One (M8) users, HTC had to leave out the Crop-Me-In feature that was part of the original package.

Today, an update to the Android version of the HTC Camera app (the Windows Phone version received a different update yesterday) brings a beta version of the Crop-Me-In feature to HTC One (M8) owners. So what does this feature do? Well, it allows you to crop a selfie taken with the front-facing camera into a picture snapped with the rear camera. You can put yourself in the middle of any situation and share the "proof" with your friends and family via social media.

HTC had promised that Crop-Me-In would be part of an update sent before Android 5.0 arrived. For those with a U.S. carrier branded HTC One (M8), this actually came true. HTC had promised that the Lollipop update will arrive no more than 90 days after Google delivered the final version, which works out to February 3rd.
