HP prices its high-end Windows 10 Mobile phone in the U.S. minus the Desk Dock
If you're looking to buy the absolute top-of-the-line Windows 10 Mobile powered handset, your choices are clear. Buy the HP Elite x3, or look at another platform. HP met a promise today by pricing the Elite x3 in the U.S. without the Desk Dock. The latter allows you to turn your handset into the brains behind a desktop PC using the Continuum technology.
If you're interested in the HP Elite x3 without the dock, it will cost you $699. That is $100 cheaper than the price of the phone with the Desk Dock included. If you plan on buying the dock eventually, you might want to spend the $799 for the bundle since HP charges $150 for the Desk Dock if purchased separately.
The unbundled HP Elite x3 can only be purchased in the states from the HP SMB store (Small and Mid-sized Businesses). Once on the site, you will need to search for "HP Elite x3 X5V50AA#ABA." You can get to the SMB online store by clicking on the sourcelink. There is no word on whether HP will add the $699 phone-only option to its regular U.S. consumer online store, or the Microsoft Store.
