Google Goggles gets update to version 1.8
The continuous mode on Google Goggles allows users to scan objects around them without having to stop to snap a photograph. This mode is one that received some updating as version 1.8 is now available for free from Google Play store. The speed of the bar code scanner in continuous mode has been doubled. Additionally, while in this mode, the objects you tap on are saved in your search history.

For those who have never taken a look at Google Goggles, the app uses image recognition technology to bring you search results on objects that you take a picture of. Information can be found by scanning a bar code or a QR code. Take a snapshot of text in
English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese or Russian and Google Goggles will translate it for you. Want to store a business card in your phone? Just use the app and take a photo. Google Goggles recognizes benchmarks and even solves Sudoku puzzles.
