Galaxy Note 8 Emperor edition? 256 GB of storage, 8 GB of RAM
by Preslav Kateliev / Jul 26, 2017, 7:11 AM
Samsung has a history of launching special edition phones in its homeland of South Korea. From the Galaxy S5 Plus back in the day to the Galaxy Note FE that launched this month. A leakster is claiming that the Galaxy Note 8 might have its own super-powered edition that has a chance to be limited to the South Korean market as well.
We are not sure if this is an issue with translation, but it seems that the suggested device is called the Note 8 Emperor edition. It is said that while the “regular” Note 8 would have 64 GB of storage and 6 GB of RAM, this special beast would sport 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage.
Is this rumor to be believed? We'd take it with a grain of salt, sure, but it doesn't sound too far fetched. There was a special edition of the Galaxy S8+ sold in South Korea and China — it had 128 GB of storage and 6 GB of RAM. It cost a pretty penny, but eventually sold out.
So, who's to say that Sammy won't push the envelope just a bit further with the Note 8?

Looks like the Note 8 Hype is already over. I'm pretty sure this is exactly what the Note 8 will look like.

i doubt that 8gb instead of 6gb is a big differentiator and a huge selling point so no way samsung will make this happen ......but the galaxy note 8 will lag like the galaxy s8 (ignore this. i have been diagnosed with lumbergh-itis)

This represents nothing like the Note series. It's tall and so narrow, rather than being wider. It looks ugly. Note series have squarish edges not curved.

Completely untrue. Only the original Note was wider than the preceding Galaxy S. It had a 16:10 aspect ratio. That was 6 years ago. Every Note since has had the same aspect ratio as the S, so I don't see how you can say the Note series is known to be wider. It's not.

If one phone deserves all that silicon goodness it's the note series. It does what other phones can't... Actually be productive when other phones just utilize that extra silicon to get back to social media apps faster... Release that Emperor beast everywhere!

I WANT the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Emperor Edition with the 256GB Storage and 6GB of RAM here in the US for Myself and ALL of the Other Note Fans that were FORCED to get rid of Our Note 7 due to the Recalls. Samsung Should make things Right and Bring that Here to the US instead of just 1 or 2 select Markets that Don't include the US. There's a Lot of Dedicated Samsung Fans who would Snatch up the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Emperor Edition as soon as it's available up for Pre-Sale and also when it is available for Direct Sale. Samsung, don't constantly teasing us with what We Can't have! Samsung, Make the Phones Available Worldwide that Everyone can get and not just a select few markets alone! Everyone who feels the same about this, Please let's All Speak as One LOUD Voice that Samsung Can Hear and Will have to Listen to. Comment on this, Meaasge Samsung about this, Message Your Carrier about this, and let's get together and have them Make a Change for Us the Customers who Purchase their Products.
