Freeze the blades! Nokia Lumia 928 Xenon flash and Rich Recording mics put to the test (video)
A set of camera tests and samples has appeared, done with the newly-announced Nokia Lumia 928, and the results are pretty stellar when it comes to the optical image stabilization performance and the Xenon flash demo. Also, Nokia's Smart Camera Lens seems to be making a cameo on the handset, bringing to WP8 what the default camera app is lacking like shutter speed control, manual white balance and so on.

The OIS mechanism inside works wonders to keep the image steady as if the shot has been taken with a professional camera on rails set. Not only that, but Nokia's Rich Recording technology that use three high-amplitude mics to deliver clear sound without distortion up to 140dB, works wonders at a concert video.

Last, but not least, the first for a Windows Phone Xenon flash was put to the test, and managed to freeze a picture of rotating fan blades, which is a pretty awesome achievement for a smartphone, and you will surely appreciate a powerful Xenon unit for those group family portraits in the dimly lit room around a Thanksgiving dinner, too. Take a peek at the complete sample set in the slideshow below.

My HTC one x takes way more betta pics in complete darkness with flash on, the pics with flash or without makes Nokia's pics very grainy and a bit noisy but the flash just brings unseen things and that's normal pfffttt just marketing my friends just marketing.

10. No_Nonsense unregistered

That's funny because the One X had the worst camera on a flagship device last year, a fact proven by multiple tests on multiple sites.

After the update to 4.1 jelly bean the HTC one x is the best much better then the s3 and iPhone 5 and don't worry I'm not talking trash my mate's were shocked at the results compared to their phones

...or carl zeiss lenses...or pureview...no it doesn't. It's a nokia, why you even try to compare it with trash cam? Nokia is the best in camphones, his one x can't even beat the n86...

Tell me if there is no difference between Xenon and LED flash like you say, why does every DSLR have a xenon flash? Why does most cars headlights use Xenon lights rather than LED? your comments just shows how stupid you trolls are!

If any one tells me that's not marketing pls go do bussines studies and then talk. I'm a yr 12 student who is doing bussines studies and there are many companies that fool consumers to buy their products like what Nokia did to there 920 how they were caught lying about there ois so please don't comment stupid things.

Nokia didn't lie about their OIS technology: the persons whom they had contracted to make a commercial about their product were the ones who made it seem as though the device being marketed was used to generate the source video... However, before you miss the point, the bottom line is that Nokia's Pureview Technology works exactly as claimed. The Lumia 920 is the real deal, and it's video and audio recording capabilities are better than existing competitors, including the HTC ONE X that you were bragging about. Don't bother to reply, because you'll only make yourself look stupid ;o)

Oh we have a smarty around here ur just stupid Nokia who has a contract whomever is making there ads for them like as if Nokia is not going to examin the ad before publishing it idiot and that wasn't the first ad that they lied about even outdoor at night 920 vs one x vs 4s vs s3 with no flash and Nokia produced the most lighting srsly it was obvious that they were using high tech dash lights and aluminum umbrellas brhing them to brighten up the image and cheat. Even if Nokia makes the best cameras so what its practically useless in specs.
