Nokia's PR 2.0 update to sport custom camera app for the Lumia WP8 range called Smart Lens

Open the camera app on most flagship Android phones and you'd be staring at a rich variety of scene modes, color effects and image adjustment sliders for contrast, exposure, saturation, sharpness and so on, not to mention things like 360 panoramas and burst shot.

Open a Windows Phone camera app, and the choice boils down to only a few presets and exposure adjustments, even on a camera-centric PureView handset like the Lumia 920.

This is all bound to change with Nokia's PR 2.0 update for the Lumia range, if an insider tip is to be believed. Not only will it bring a permanent clock on the lock screen and double-tap to awake features, but a Smart Camera Lens app that will receive a huge boost in functionality with the above mentioned options you are accustomed to see in Android handsets. the tipster even sent over a few alleged screenshots of an early PR 2.0 build to prove the massive feature update, which you can see in the slideshow below.
