First TAG Heuer smartwatch to be announced tomorrow, will compete with the Apple Watch
Swiss watchmaker TAG Heuer is about to introduce a smartwatch that will compete with the Apple Watch. According to Reuters, the TAG Heuer smartwatch - of which we first heard back in January - should be announced tomorrow, on March 19. The device will be a digital version of the TAG Heuer Carrera, one of the company's best selling traditional timepieces.

Reportedly, TAG Heuer has partnered with Intel to work on the new smartwatch. It's not clear if this will run Android Wear, though it's very likely that this is TAG Heuer's first choice when it comes to the OS that's going to power the smartwatch.

TAG Heuer Chief Executive Office Jean-Claude Biver told Reuters that, when wearing the upcoming smartwatch, "people will have the impression that they are wearing a normal watch."

There is no word on when, or for what price the TAG Heuer smartwatch will be released. However, TAG Heuer should hurry if it wants its smartwatch to compete with the Apple Watch, as this will be launched on April 24 (with pre-orders opening on April 10).
