Cortana beta subscribers receive new features on Android
Those who have joined the beta program for Cortana on Android are receiving a new feature. Cortana is now able to read incoming messages aloud. Now that Cortana will also be able to send messages and make calls, it makes the app feel a bit more complete. The feature is enabled by default and works when your Android device is connected via Bluetooth to your car audio system or another audio device. There is also the option to have it enabled only when using a wired headset (if you still have a headphone jack). For those who do not need it, he feature can be disabled by the user in the settings menu.

This update brings a much desired option for those who are fans on Microsoft's digital assistant.

It was a considerable hit on Windows Mobile devices and was a top request for those who switched to other platforms following the demise of Windows 10 Mobile. Nevertheless, the feature is sure to come in handy and brings a lot of convenience to Cortana as Microsoft continues to expand its App Store presence.
