BlackBerry Z10 now available in the U.S. from AT&T
The BlackBerry 10 era in the United states has now started as the all-touch BlackBerry Z10 is now available from AT&T. The phone is priced at $199.99 with a signed two-year contract. Earlier this month, T-Mobile offered the Z10, but to business customers only for a contract price of $249.99. Verizon has started taking pre-orders for the phone and will start making the device available on March 28th. Ironically, T-Mobile, which had hoped to be the first to release it to consumers, has not released an exact launch date although it does hope to release it before the end of this month. Sprint has decided to skip the BlackBerry Z10, but will sell the QWERTY equipped BlackBerry Q10.

The BlackBerry Z10 offers a 4.2 inch screen with resolution of 768 x 1280 which results in an outstanding pixel density of 356ppi. A dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 is driving the phone with 2GB of RAM on board and the 16GB of native storage can be expanded with the 64GB microSD slot. An 8MP camera on back captures video in 1080p while the handset has a 2MP front-facing shooter. The 1800mAh battery keeps the lights on.

The U.S. launch will be the big test for BlackBerry 10, which has had solid starts when launched in other locations, only to lose momentum. It still is unclear how well the phone has done in some other areas, although in the U.K. a couple of major retailers have already cut the phone's price. Additionally, there are many BlackBerry fans waiting on the QWERTY equipped BlackBerry Q10, which offers that outstanding BlackBerry physical QWERTY that many are used to using.
