While all other major (and minor) tech companies are making their products more and more expensive, Amazon is gearing up for an undoubtedly epic October Prime Day sale, and those of you familiar with such events already know exactly what that means for the e-commerce giant's in-house Alexa-powered devices.

Yes, some of the best smart speakers and smart displays in the world can be purchased at massive discounts right now, and incredibly enough, you don't even need a Prime membership to save a cool $100 on the Echo Show 11, for instance.

The JBL Boombox 4 is not a smart speaker and it doesn't come with a display, but it is incredibly powerful and not that expensive after its latest discount.

Released last year at a starting price of $219.99 and recently increased to $249.99, the first-gen Echo Show 11 smart display is all of a sudden marked down by a huge $100 from its new list price with Alexa+ skills, ultra-powerful sound, and a large and undeniably high-quality touchscreen.

This is one of Amazon's two late 2025 additions to the Echo Show lineup, mind you, and unlike the company's fourth-gen 8-incher, it had no equivalent in previous years, squeezing for the first time between its smaller brother and the jumbo-sized 15 and 21-inch models released in 2024.

Originally priced at $219.99, the first-gen Amazon Echo Show 11 actually jumped up to $249.99 a little over a month ago, which made me very skeptical that we would ever see the... generously sized smart display knocked down to its lowest price again.

But this early new Prime Big Deal Days discount (with no Prime membership needed) amazingly makes the Echo Show 11 as affordable as a little over three months ago (when it did require a special subscription).

At $100 under its recently revised list price, the Echo Show 11 is obviously a lot cheaper than Google's 10-inch Nest Hub Max but still not quite as affordable as a 7-inch Nest Hub (2nd Gen). Apple, meanwhile, is still getting ready to unveil its rookie Siri-powered smart speaker effort with a touchscreen, and somehow, I doubt that could ever cost as little as Amazon's newly discounted 11-inch smart display.

Affordability (and size) are not the only key qualities and selling points here, of course, as the "room-filling" spatial audio is also remarkably powerful, not to mention the fancy auto-framing 13MP camera, the always handy built-in smart home hub functionality, and last but certainly not least, the many Alexa and Alexa+ skills designed to make so many facets of your modern life easier and... more modern.
