Earlier today at IFA 2018 in Berlin, BlackBerry Mobile unveiled its lower priced BlackBerry KEY2 variant called the BlackBerry KEY2 LE. Priced at $399 for the 32GB version, and $449 for the model carrying 64GB of storage, TCL cut corners in certain areas to make it more affordable than the $649 KEY2. The phone will launch early next month, and an official new product video for the device has already been released.

In the clip, BlackBerry Mobile shows off the KEY2 LE's "sleek design" and soft touch back. The physical keyboard features the same changes that were made to the KEY2 (20% larger keys than the ones on the BlackBerry KEYone). BlackBerry says that the redesign not only makes typing a breeze, it also cuts down on typos. Like the higher priced model, the KEY2 LE offers the "Speed Key," allowing users to jump from app to app with a single tap.

The video also plays up the dual camera setup on the unit (13MP + 5MP), and the 3000mAh battery that provides up to 22 hours of use between charges. The KEY2 LE will learn your charging habits and remind you when it is time to plug in. And all three color options (red, champagne and gray) make an appearance.

If you like the idea of the BlackBerry KEY2, but think that it is a tad pricey, the KEY2 LE is a great alternative. Check out the phone by clicking on the official video at the top of this article.
