Apple moves 9 places to become the world's 8th most valuable brand, Nokia slides to 14th
Apple's brand awareness has been growing along with its bank account ever since the iPhone got introduced in 2007, and still makes more profits for the company than all its other ventures.

In the annual brand value ratings, Apple hopped the astonishing 9 places, and finished 8th, behind staple industry stalwarts like McDonalds or Coca Cola, and ahead of even Disney, which follows immediately after.

Out of the tech companies, Apple, with its current $33.5 billion in brand value, is preceded by IBM, Microsoft, Google and Intel, but it has moved before an industry behemoth like HP.

Nokia, on the other hand, saw its brand value slipping significantly in the year when it announced the boldest reorganization in its history around Microsoft's Windows Phone. Currently the title Nokia is valued at $25.07 billion, which ranks it 14th, a six spot slide in comparison with the previous year.
