Android 5.0 Lollipop OTA update for Nexus 4 now available in Europe
Not long after Google released an Android 5.0 Lollipop factory image for the Nexus 4, it started rolling out the much-awaited OTA (over the air) update for the handset - which is still going strong two years after launch. Now, the update is available to Nexus 4 users in Europe (and likely in most other regions).

You’ll need to have at least 500 MB of free space on your Nexus 4 to install the update. While we’ve already got it on our Nexus 4, not everyone will get it at the same time.

The whole update process took 30-40 minutes to complete on our Nexus 4. If you have a ton of apps installed, it will take longer, because each and every one of them needs to be optimized for Lollipop. We’ve only encountered one bug thus far, but it’s likely that we’ll stumble upon others pretty soon. Of course, Google will release another (smaller) update to fix these bugs.

Android 5.0 Lollipop is arguably the most important update since the very first Android version was released way back in 2008. It brings lots of novelties and improvements, including a brand new visual style (based on what Google is calling Material Design), and a new runtime environment - ART - which replaces Dalvik.

Have you received your Lollipop update yet?

If you dont want to wait you can flash it yourself Its really easy if you follow a YouTube video Basically just extracting the .zip, editing the .bat if you dont want to wipe your data, then double clicking the .bat

Yes, it came to London last evening and, despite all the horrors I had read about it, I find it awesome.

well I got the update but as a whole am hating 5.0 lollipop it just feels like a huge step backwards in usability, first the gallery now needs god damn google plus to access like come on,2. u must keep lock screen notifications on,if you turn them on u can't slide down the top like before ull have to annoyingly open the phone to access your notifications.and the one I hate the most, comeplete removal of lockscreen usage, now if I play music I can no longer change songs from the lock screen I must unlock the phone to change music. so come on Google why make simply things that are fine and working and ruin them

Nopes this(settings > about phone > system updates) does not help. Its been 2 days I have been trying to get the OTA notification back but nothing is working out. I even tried clearing the cache and force stop in Google play services but trick did not work.
