Android 4.1.2 starts rolling out to international Samsung Galaxy S III models
Starting with unbranded Samsung Galaxy S III units in Poland and then working through other countries, Samsung has started pushing through the next OS update for its flagship model. No, it is not Android 4.2, but is Android 4.1.2 which includes a number of cool features like Multi-Window, the same Gallery app as on the Samsung GALAXY Note II, Smart Rotation, a customized notification panel, Paper Artist and Group Cast apps and SwiftKey Flow to name a few. The update is rolling out in phases, so if it hasn't hit your country or carrier yet, there is no need to jump. The update, a version of which was leaked a couple of weeks ago, will be available via OTA or Kies.

Meanwhile, Verizon customers are the only ones left belonging to the major four U.S. carriers, that have yet to update their handsets to Android 4.1.1 by either OTA or Kies. Verizon customers are now two updates behind those with the GT-i9300 getting updated overseas. AT&T customers just received their update, but it must be installed manually using Kies. Samsung Galaxy S III users on Sprint were the first in the U.S. to receive the new OS build followed by T-Mobile. Those two updates were done OTA.
