Amazon Student app launches for iPhone touting college students
Amazon just released a new app for the Apple iPhone called Amazon Student that is intended to help college students check the prices of those ever-expensive textbooks instantly as well as sell the ones they already have.

The App essentially turns the iPhone into an Amazon specific barcode scanner. All you have to do is scan the barcode on the book that the professor is requiring and the app will search it for you. The Amazon Student app is not just limited to textbooks as it will search pretty much everything that is sold on Amazon’s online store.

As for as selling the stuff you already have goes, all you have to do is scan the barcode and Amazon will show you what the trade in value is. You can trade in those old textbooks, video games, gadgets that you have no more use for etc. The value of the items you sell will go on an Amazon Gift Card.

The application is available right now and will not cost you a dime. If you are a college student check Amazon Student out and tell us what you think in the comments below.
