AT&T's FamilyMap App now available on App Store - keeps tabs on loved ones

There is a huge market that’s still growing around location based services – and of course there’s money to be made as well. If you’re the type to always wanting to know where your loved ones are located at all times, then AT&T’s FamilyMap service might be what you’re looking for. AT&T announced its availability on the App Store so it can provide families with a more seamless experience when locating and connecting with one another on the go with the use of an iPhone. It’s available to pretty much all postpaid phone offerings on their lineup, but the app on the iPhone includes some additional features. On top of visually seeing the locations of members included in the service, you can expect to see a wide range of useful features – like checking to see if a family member is on schedule, set up & view a list of landmarks, use the multi-touch user interface to pan the map, quickly contact members via SMS, and on-demand locating which allows you to log into the service directly on your phone or computer. As far as the monthly service is concerned, you can choose to go with the $9.99 per month subscription which allows you to locate up to two phones on an account or the $14.99 per month option to give you up to five phones.
