6.6-inch honor V8 Max certified by TENAA with 1440 x 2560 QHD screen and 4400mAh juicer
Chinese regulatory agency TENAA has certified a new handset from honor. The EDI-DL00 is expected to be named the V8 Max. The device will carry a massive 6.6-inch AMOLED display, with a 1440 x 2560 resolution. The V8 Max is driven by the home grown Kirin 950 chipset, which means that the phone will be equipped with an octa-core 2.3GHz CPU and the Mali-T880 GPU. 3GB of RAM is inside along with 32GB of expandable native storage. A 128GB capacity microSD slot is available for those seeking additional storage.

A 13MP camera adorns the back of the unit, with an 8MP camera in front to shoot selfies and handle video chat. The honor V8 Max supports dual SIM dual standby and VoLTE. A 4400mAh battery provides the power. We could see a 9V/2A power adapter come out of the box, offering fast charging of the cell. A fingerprint sensor is on board, and buyers will chose between Gold and Silver color options. Android 6.0 is pre-installed with EMIU 4.1 running on top.

The phone is rather thin at 7.18mm, but it is no lightweight at 219 grams. The honor V8 Max could be officially introduced during Huawei's July 11th event.

Dude, how does understanding new tech have anything to do with what he is saying? There's a reason the word tablet exist and just because you can give one the ability to make and receive calls doesn't mean you should. Honestly at 6.6in do you even feel right calling it a phone?........I don't lol. I hope this helps you understand why your reply makes no scene.

Arch_Fiend Have you seen film Zoolander that was released in 2001? Anyhow, back in the days when the film got released, small phones were considered luxurious... And the film made fun of this tend by this:http://www.cityoffilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/zoo-phone.jpg Funny how time flies! Ben should've used a 20" Tablet in its sequel, released not so long ago...! Oh well... Thanks mate and G'Day!

If that Mali GPU is only an Mp4 they screwed themselves. I like the CPU itself I had been waiting forever for 4 cortex 72's with 4 cortex 53's but they always drop the ball on te GPU. Goodluck pushing quad.

2016 is the year of the TRUE phablet (size) Hmmm.. Should I buy the 6.4 Xiaomi MiMax or Lenovo Phab 2 Pro/Plus? Should I buy the 6.6 Huawei Honor V8 Max? Should I buy the 6.8 Lenovo Phab, Huawei MediaPad, Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra?

No way. You want at least 10" of phone to shove inside your purse (or trousers), because what's a phone that can't be used as a cafe table too? You can go out in the city and you use your phone when there are no more tables in the restaurants.

For Your Information: I'm wearing regular pants or jeans. And I already tried using Lenovo Phab Plus for 2 days (courtesy of my cousin), and it FIT WELL. So, why so angry? Why do you angry of others that like BIG THINGS that fit inside their pocket? I don't angry when reading someone want a petite 4" phone. To each his own. You like small 4", I like big 6".

I'm not angry, dude, I'm just saying that you should get a phone with 10" display, because it is bigger than a small 6" one and you can also use it as a table in a dining place. Why don't you use a tablet (or better yet, a laptop), if you need a big screen device? Even if I would like a normal sized phone with top specs, powered by Android, I would not have one to chose, because there is none to chose from...

Because I accustomed to see that some small phone size lover got offended whenever big phone come out. The reason that I don't use tablet is the same reason that you don't use 6"+ phone. It's not pocketable. 6"+ is the perfect size for me because it's the biggest screen that can be pocketable, and I can walk without feeling awkward. and I don't really care about one handed usage, because I never use my phone one handed even it's a 3.5" touch screen phone (was nokia N8).

But you are, in fact, using a small tablet which can also place phone calls, because a device which is too big to use with a single hand and to be put inside a regular pocket (I'm not talking about hill billy's overalls or hip-hop jeans) can't be called a phone. I'm taller than the average joe and I still find most of android flagships to be awkward to use as a phone. But that's me; if I were to want a big device, I would choose the biggest possible I could hold in my hands and that's 7-8", not a tiny 6".

To me, 6.4 inch with a screen to body ratio of >78%. That's the ideal phone for me. That's why I love my Lenovo K920. Though it's just a 6". I know for a fact my pocket could accommodate a 6.4 max but the screen to body ratio could not be less than 78%.

I currently use Nexus 6, and really eager to upgrade to the real phablet size (6.4"-6.8") with small bezel.

Yes, I know, 6"+ phone is small tablet, but it's pocketable. That's the point. I'm regular asian dude. Bellow 170cm. Not tall/big basketball player. And I can put bellow 7" phone in my pants easily. What kind of pants are you wearing? Do big/tall american have tiny pocket? I know some fancy brand name jeans have small pocket, but that's a girls jeans. My problem with 7"-8" tablet were I need doraemon pocket. (https://www.google.com/search?q=doraemon )

If it works for you, dude, I'm ok, only don't call them phones anymore, call them little tablets. Sure I can fit a small tablet inside my jeans, but I would be crazy to do so, because I need to walk, to sit, I want to hold my girl in my arms without having a wall between us. That's why I'm having a slightly larger than regular phone (6s) which would be nice to lose some bezels, with keeping the same sized display, in it's next iteration so that it would be just as comfortable as 5s (SE is not an option as long as it lacks the force touch system).

I also don't call 6"+ a phone. It's called phablet, and I also called it phablet. 6"+ is the proper phablet size. The right size. I know some iUser still believe that phone must be able to be used with one hand. It's ok with me. I just happened to value productivity over one handed usage.
