12 awesome Samsung Galaxy Note 3 cases

12 awesome Samsung Galaxy Note 3 cases
The Galaxy Note 3 has become one of Samsung’s best-selling devices for a good reason - it brings the absolute best of hardware in a well built 5.7” phablet. With all that precious hardware muscle, though, you might want to protect it as much as possible. Outfitting your Galaxy Note 3 with a nice and durable case would keep it in mint condition, and help you preserve the maximum resale value once you decide it’s time to upgrade. Moreover, a proper case would also protect that large 5.7” display from shattering and drops.

Protection, however, is not the only reason to get a case or a cover for the Note 3. It’s true that Samsung changed its design language radically by adding a faux-leather back to the Note 3, giving it much more polished looks, but what about those who want a little more color in their Note 3? Changing the back cover would be a cheap and easy solution for that, and there are many great looking bumpers that would add not just protection, but also an interesting color accent to the phablet.

We’ve picked a dirty dozen of our favorite Galaxy Note 3 cases and covers that do all that right below. We are kicking it off with cases from well known makers like OtterBox and Spigen, but don’t hesitate to check out the ones from second-tier makers that follow - they are also made specifically for the Note 3, and come without the hefty prices. Finally, do keep in mind that all cases add some bulk to the already large Note 3 - it’s a price you have to pay for that extra protection. With no further ado, take a look at our selection of great Note 3 cases.

1. Spigen Bounce -- $10.99

The slim, elegant and cheap Spigen Bounce comes with a distinct pattern and a pleasingly tight fit, great for those who want a case without extra bulk. It’s made of a soft texture and a comfortable, non-slippery grip.

2. Incipio DualPro -- $22

Another fairly slim case, the Incipio DualPro adds even more protection with its shock-protection body and a bit of a flare with its dual-color design.

3. Samsung S-View Cover -- $50

Samsung's own S View Cover brings the best of both worlds - protection and visibility. It engulfs the Note 3, but leaves a little window in the front cover, so that you can see the time and missed notifications without having to actually open the case.

4. Otterbox Commuter - $45

The Otterbox Commuter might not be among the most compact cases, but it hits the right balance between solid protection and decent size. It’s got silicon plugs covering all ports and offers an overall great protection against drops.

5. Trident Aegis - $30

The Trident Aegis is certified to be shock-proof, withstanding drop tests (it can survive 26 drops from 4 feet), plus it’s got reinforced edges for even better protection. It’s sides are slightly raised above the display for additional protection.

6. Speck CandyShell - $40

With its special finger pads, the Speck CandyShell makes it easy to have a godo grip on your Note 3, plus this is an element that makes the device harder to slip out of your paws. The unique design, fresh colors, and the good protection that this case offers make it a good option to consider.

7. Urban Armor Gear Aero -- $35

Urban Armor brings its 'Aero' gear for the Note 3 that gives it not just those futuristic Transformer-like looks, but also a solid amount of protection.

8. Samsung S-View Cover -- $50

Samsung's own S View Cover brings the best of both worlds - protection and visibility. It engulfs the Note 3, but leaves a little window in the front cover, so that you can see the time and missed notifications without having to actually open the case.

9. Watson Folio Wallet -- $45

Have you though about leaving your wallet at home? If you are doing your shopping via credit or debit cards, Watson's Folio Wallet case for the Note 3 would give you just enough additional space for your essential documents, and you can even stuff a few paper bills in one of the case's pockets. Neat, isn't it?

10. Spigen Case Neo Hybrid -- $35

Spigen's Hybrid case protects your Note 3 and adds a stylish color accent along its side. It's a bit like a bumper, and those who crave for a little more color in the Note 3 would love it.

11. OtterBox Defender -- $60

It's true that all cases protect, but the OtterBox Defender is the champion in protection. You could theoretically be playing frisbee with your Note 3, and still have it survive countless drops. That comes in exchange for a lot of added bulk, though, keep this in mind.

12. Belkin Shield Sheer -- $30

The sleek Belkin Shield is a relatively affordable way to change the appearance of the Note 3, and still have it protected.

13. Rocketfish Snap Cover -- $23

If that faux leather on the back of the Note 3 ever wears out, you can always easily replace it with this Rocketfish cover.

14. Fintie Build in Kickstand Case -- $9

One thing the Note 3 does not have (and we would have loved) is a kickstand. The Fintie case adds it so you can kick back, relax and watch a movie without frantically holding the device for hours on end.

Spigen slim armour case is the way to go. Got it in blue and also superglue the belt clip using an old PDAIR belt clip case it is the perfect case. Would love to add the flygrip but including shipping to Aus, it will be around $50 for a grip/kickstand, it is kinda expensive......

#1, #4, #6, and OtterBox Commuter. Paid $40 for the case, and definitely don't regret the purchase - especially after tossing my phablet three feet at people since I'm too lazy to hand them the phone lol.

Between me, and my wife we've bought probably a dozen cases for our Note 3s. The brown one is currently my case and I'm loving it. It comes in multiple colors, we have the burgundy one and the brown one. I've never put a credit card into the slot because I'm afraid the slot will get loose. An awesome place to look at cool cases is Case Fanatic. Check it out. I've never bought anything from them but I heard of them from Flossy Carter, apparently he's bought a ton of cases from them. http://www.casefanatic.com/note-3/

I wouldn't recommend casefanatic, their prices are simply absurd. I found a gorgeous leather replacement battery door for $47, I was too close to cluck the buy it button, then I found it on ebay for 14.99!!!

the urban armor gear case is an awesome case, I have one on my S3. It protects better than the Otter Box, it looks better, it's thinner, and it's cheaper. You really have no reason to get an Otter Box over a UAG unless your phone just doesnt have a UAG option available.

There are many Galaxy Note 3 cases out there, but three stood out of the corwd for me. 1:Spigen Neo Hybrid, Spigen Slim Armor and CaseMate. All three are amazing cases to secure your phablet and give a great and stylis look too.

I've been using the Spigen Slim Armor for about 6 months now and really like it. It's getting a little beat up with knicks in it from being dropped. Great case and still like it. The white and black really pops. I just ordered the UAG case which looks great.
