12 awesome Samsung Galaxy Note 3 cases

The Galaxy Note 3 has become one of Samsung’s best-selling devices for a good reason - it brings the absolute best of hardware in a well built 5.7” phablet. With all that precious hardware muscle, though, you might want to protect it as much as possible. Outfitting your Galaxy Note 3 with a nice and durable case would keep it in mint condition, and help you preserve the maximum resale value once you decide it’s time to upgrade. Moreover, a proper case would also protect that large 5.7” display from shattering and drops.

Protection, however, is not the only reason to get a case or a cover for the Note 3. It’s true that Samsung changed its design language radically by adding a faux-leather back to the Note 3, giving it much more polished looks, but what about those who want a little more color in their Note 3? Changing the back cover would be a cheap and easy solution for that, and there are many great looking bumpers that would add not just protection, but also an interesting color accent to the phablet.

Finally, do keep in mind that all cases add some bulk to the already large Note 3 - it’s a price you have to pay for that extra protection. Another fairly slim case, the Incipio DualPro adds even more protection with its shock-protection body and a bit of a flare with its dual-color design.

3. Samsung S-View Cover -- $50

Samsung's own S View Cover brings the best of both worlds - protection and visibility. It engulfs the Note 3, but leaves a little window in the front cover, so that you can see the time and missed notifications without having to actually open the case.

4. Otterbox Commuter - $45

The Otterbox Commuter might not be among the most compact cases, but it hits the right balance between solid protection and decent size. It’s got silicon plugs covering all ports and offers an overall great protection against drops.

The Trident Aegis is certified to be shock-proof, withstanding drop tests (it can survive 26 drops from 4 feet), plus it’s got reinforced edges for even better protection. It’s sides are slightly raised above the display for additional protection.

With its special finger pads, the Speck CandyShell makes it easy to have a godo grip on your Note 3, plus this is an element that makes the device harder to slip out of your paws. The unique design, fresh colors, and the good protection that this case offers make it a good option to consider.
