Not impressed at all with this phone

I'll start off with the worst aspect of this phone. The battery life. I have had this phone about a week. I get about a hour and 15 minutes talk time before the phone dies. There is no way this phone gets 5 hours talk time.
The phone itself is very light and small. However, I would be scared to drop this thing as it doesnt appear to be very durable. The charging port has a flip out plastic piece that Im sure will get broken in no time. Its a bad design. Old style charging port and doesnt have USB connectability.

Cons

• Low battery life
• Mute is diffecut to get to when talking.
• Does not show calls made
• Conveluted way to get to missed calls.
• All games are trial. Play a couple times then you have to pay.
• Have to put in all 10 digits to send a text message.
• Very Limited Blue tooth compatible
• Cant back out/go back out of every menu

Time (dys)function

I have had this phone for over a year. Since day 1 it has trouble with keeping time. If I keep the time syncronized, it is 95% good. But if I let it keep time on its own, it is unreliable. Occasionally, I will be out of cell range for a while (like in the subway) and the time does not update. It might read 7:30 when it is really 11 or something.

Otherwise the phone is pretty good and has great features. Another negative is that the games included are all demos. I wish I had at least one full game on here to pass the time.

I got this phone yesterday! its very good and i recommend it, i switched from Motrola Razor, and it good to meh!

Best phone I've ever had.

This is the best phone I have ever had. I've had a razor, and this beat even that. The battery life isn't bad, it is kind of short notice though before it dies. Aside from that though, it's been great.

I've had this phone in the middle of the everglades to the middle of nowhere in Georgia, never had any problems with it. Only place I did have a problem was around Fort Stewart in Ga. Had all my bars, just couldn't connect. I think it may have been something from the base that was interferring with it.

Read all the reviews and keep in mind that people tend to exagerate things when they get upset. I had a friend who had a Blackberry, it dropped 1 call and he swore it was the biggest peice of dung because it dropped 1 call.

Terrible 2

awful

this phone drops calls everywhere nothing but problem after problem with this phone.it is the cheapest felling phone i have every had.

Not Bad

I seem to having the same problem as lots of other people with this phone. The battery life is just horrible. It'll show full charge one moment then 30 mins later, only one bar of battery left. Another 30 and the phone is dead. Everything else about this phone I absolutly love, If it could stay charged long enough to use it...

Helps to troubleshoot...

I have been on my cell phone plan long enough that I was able to upgrade from my Nokia 6030 to the LG CU400. I absolutely love the phone. It's my own little multi-media hub and never gives me any problems. I have had customers come in to the radioshack where I work with battery problems on the phone. Yet they are quickly resolved with ordering a new one. Try it :)

Battery has no Life

Just bought a CU400 on Saturday (4-7-07). Followed the instructions and charged that puppy along with the bluetooth ear thingy that evening. Used the phone about 3 times on Easter and texted 4 messages on Monday. Monday at dinner time the battery indicator read 2 out of 3. This morning it was dead. Not warning me "hey dude, charge me", but rather absolute zero. Black screen. I'd opt for a smaller screen with better battery life. I'm returning it today... it is pointless to have cell phone that requires you to spend so much time plugged into a wall :(

LG CU400 Best call quality

It gets a very good signal, excellent reception. Calls are crystal clear. The screen is very large, and pleassent to look at. My wife has the LG Cu500, and it is also very nice , but this phone gets better reception and call clarity, which to me, is its most important trait.

NICE

My phone was dying so I had to get a new one. The CU400 was really the only Cingular phone that impressed me. Well the blackjack seemed cool, but I wasn't looking for a smartphone or blackberry.

It felt good in my hand. The construction isn't crappy. The phone is solidly built. Which is good, I dropped my last LG on the pavement multiple times (and let me tell you, it took the beating).

The menu is nice and easy to get around. I don't care about the camera or video or really anything except the address book and text message feature. Calls are nice and clear too.

I can't really rate the bells and whistles because I could care less, but everything else works great.

Some have complained about the battery life being short. The phone lasts me about 1 - 3 days before I need to charge it. Not bad at all. And I'm not goin to whine about the 2 seconds it takes to plug it into the wall.

Almost but not quite

Great looking phone. Excellent features, i.e., PTT, global connectivity.
Limited options, so- so reception, poor battery life. No software for pc connectivity.

Economic 3g phone

This is a great phone is your are low in budget and high on expectation on 3g/ UMTS technology. Also has PTT push to Talk tech that its a plus. Camara should have been 1.3 at least but for a free 3g type well you have to cut from somewhere. Cingular Video is very good and very loud also. Value for money i think its the best part of this phone.

Dissapointment

I was very dissapointed with this phone after i purchased it. I loved it the first day owned but i didnt relize two main problems. HORRIBLE battery life and weak signal. the battery needs to be charged every day and i dont like it. The design is great and the keypad is nice and comes with good games. But in the end i would not recomend this phone to most people.
