Does what I need it to do...stay in touch.
LG 101 has owned it for less than 3 months before publishing this review
Travel into the US 3 or 4 times a year for week long stays from Canada. Paid only $10 on sale for phone via Virgin at a 7-11 store in Florida. It is a basic phone but does what I need it to do, that is make/get calls and text's.
Being from Ontario Canada which is noted as having the highest cell phone rates in the world, it is a great way to keep in touch and not pay the $2/min to use my Canadian phone in the US.Build quality 8/10Reception 8/10Call quality 7/10Internet 6/10Multimedia 4/10Camera 2/10UI speed 6/10Everyday usage 8/10Text input 6/10Display 6/10Battery 8/10

good budget phone

This is a good budget phone. If you want some of the features of a smart phone investigate this one. It has no camera, it's not a smart phone, but in a pinch this phone will work. If you want a phone that deploys missiles and is part of your utility belt - this isn't for you.

It takes courage to call this a phone.

I bought this because I needed a cheap phone for a month. Even at the price ($20) it is a complete rip-off. Nothing works the way it does on any other phone, often because the feature isn't implemented. Looking for a feature? Good luck--it's probably not implemented, but you'll have to look hard even for the critical ones. Oh, there are lots of silly features--several really stupid games and an alarm clock. But though it has caller-ID, it won't tell you the number after it stops ringing!
The manual is useless--don't bother to download it. It simply repeats (in a much more verbose way) the same nonsense that appears when you're searching for the feature. Missing features are sometimes mentioned as if they exist when they don't. Example: there is no call history(!) but the manual helpfully tells you that it is not affected if you reset all settings.
I can't imagine why anyone in their right mind would ever buy this phone. The layout is so totally non-intuitive that it's hard to do the simplest things.
It is hard to find anything nice to say about it. But why would you want to? That would be dishonest! Anyone who sells this and claims it is a phone should be arrested.Build quality 1/10Reception 1/10Call quality 1/10Internet 1/10Multimedia 1/10Camera 1/10UI speed 1/10Everyday usage 1/10Text input 1/10Display 1/10Battery 1/10Pros

dunno
very poor quality design in so many ways....not ergonomic, hard to read teeny tiny fonts and icons...mine stopped charging after two days.. thank gawd I could take it back. the best deal is to order directly online from VM,,, get a kyocera or similar brand for the lowest price there.... avoid this one.
